Get ready to celebrate! On August 18th celebrate the ratification of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. You can celebrate again on August 26th which is the date the amendment was certified by the Secretary of State making it official.

Mt Pleasant City Commissioners will present a proclamation honoring the 100th anniversary of League of Women Voters to LWVMPA during the February 10th Commission meeting at City Hall. The meeting begins at 7pm.
The League of Women Voters turns 100 years old on February 14, 2020. To celebrate this milestone Leagues across the country will demonstrate the power of women to achieve a more perfect democracy with a coordinated day of grassroots activism…”Women Power the Vote”.

Learn to research statistics to support positions
Learn about current Michigan voter information
Learn about Census 2020

Absentee Ballots will be available on January 25 for the March 10 Presidential Primary. February 24 is the last day to register in any manner other than in-person with your local clerk.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote, Art Reach is hosting a juried show March 4-28, 2020. A reception for all the artists will be held on Wednesday, March 18, from 5:30-7 pm. https://www.artreachcenter.org/
March 21, 9am to 1pm at Central Michigan University. The keynote speaker will be Professor Andrew Hoffman, University of Michigan. League will table at this event to help promote civic engagement in arriving at sustainable climate solutions.
